6 Days to go...

GREAT NEWS!!!!

I am one step closer to my Mini Cooper!!!!

I passed my driving test!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I passed on the 30th of May on my Dad's birthday. I told him my driving license was his birthday present even before I sat for the test. Hahaha!!! I was that confident.

But I didn't do as well as I thought I would. I actually hit the damn kerb TWICE!!!! I have never hit the kerb ever but I did it during my test. TWICE!!! And according to my driving insrtuctor I did not check my blindspot twice. But I always made sure I did!!!!!!! *&^%$# Oh well... I passed so it doesn't matter. :)

So now Pea and Shan, another mean girl is a licensed driver! :)

And people, so what if it is only an automatic license? I know I will never ever drive a manual car EVER so why bother to learn right? Don't waste my precious brain-juice.

I need them to decide what colour Mini-Copper I want. :)

Electric-Blue definitely.

***********************

And last week, I finished my last week of Uni ever! Never ever will I have anymore Uni.

I am no longer a student!!!!! YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man I feel so lost.

And I'll be home with all you Island-people in 6 days! On the 11th of June I will be home in Sunny Singapore for good!!!! So soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I will be flying to Thailand with my Mum on the 12th of June to settle the new house. Will be back on the 17th of June.

I haven't started packing up my life here. I have so much things!!!!!! So much baggage!!!!!!

It feels kinda weird to go back to Singapore. I don't know why too. I know I will miss Perth. After all, Perth has been home for the past 3 1/2 years.

Oh well...

I can't stay anyway. Visa expires in July!

I don't want to be an illegal immigrant.

Don't you just hate saying goodbyes?

Lyn Loves Broome...

Remember I said I went up to Broome to film an induction video for Kailis?

As promised, Broome pictures..

View from the seaplane. The track looks so much like veins from the sky.

The Capricorn Lady. My home for the 4 days that I was filming at the pearl farm.

Example
Nathan feeding the sharks. He was such a little boy taking pleasures from little simple things like feeding the sharks. He calls them his pets. Man! Who has sharks for pets?!?!?!

Example
Even the clouds there are so charming aren't they!

Example
Sunrise. Magnificent.

Example
Pretty boy Nathan!

Example
Lightning on a neighbouring island. Man it was so scary! I was in the middle of nowhere and imagine seeing lightning! If a storm came in, there would be nowhere I could run to. The thought is so horrifying.

The plane to take us back to Broome. I sat in the cockpit beside the pilot!!! Man it was the coolest experience ever!

Landing at Broome.

Example
Camels on Cable Beach at Broome. Camel-riding is a must-do when you are up at Broome. Once in a life-time experience.

Example
Esther and me camel-riding!

Example
Sunset at Cable Beach. It was the best place ever to see the sunset. It was so magical and touching.

I absolutely love Broome. Everything was so beautiful up there. Life was so relaxed and slow and nobody rushed to go anywhere. I was reluctant to leave Broome. When I was on the plane back to Perth, I felt as if I left a little piece of my heart up at Broome and at the pearl farm. I couldn't take Broome off my mind after I came back to Perth. Even now I'm still thinking and missing Broome.

This was one of my best experience, I got to fly on a seaplane,
got to fly in the cockpit in a 7-seater plane,
got to see shooting stars on the ship (7 in total!),
got to touch a shark (scary as hell but cool as hell too!),
got an inside look at pearl-farming,
got to experience the peacefulness of the Kimberley.

I did not want to go back to Perth at all! I was happy staying at Broome. Maybe I can get a job at ABC Broome reporting the news!!!! :)

I want to go back to Broome so badly.

Esther is going back again in mid-June because she has a boyfriend there now! Urgh! Lucky her...

I fell in love with Broome.

Back in Perth...

Hello people. I am back in Perth. I am shivering in cold in front of the computer now. I miss Broome!!!!

Broome was absolutely amazing!!!!! Beach, sun, delicious food, camels, pearls, bikinis, fun people, sunsets.

I am still swaying slightly from being too used to the water movement on the ship. But I love this feeling. It reminds me of my wonderful time on the ship.

Right now I have to write a 10-page script that is due tomorrow.

Pictures when I emerge alive from script-writing.

Chopped...

Example

I chopped off my fringe today! Well I didn't chopped it off myself but my hairdresser did.

My driving instructor didn't recognise me when he picked me up today. I was standing beside the car and he looked at me strangely like he didn't know me then it dawned to him it was me.

Hilarious man!

Broome Soon...

I am flying to Broome!!!! Next Tuesday!!!! Yipeee!!!! For a week!!!!For Free!!!!

Are you happy for me? Are you? Are you?

Well I am doing this induction video for Kailis Pearls for my 3rd year Film and TV unit and Kailis Pearls is flying my director and camera-person and myself to sunny Broome!!

Look how pretty!!!!

Broome is 3 hrs away from Perth and has the most beautiful beaches! While Perth-people are shivering in their coats and Ugg boots, I'll be in Broome with my over-sized sunnies and slippers.

I am one very lucky ass to get this amazing opportunity to work with such a huge company while still a poor over-worked uni student. Kailis Pearls is a huge jewellery/pearling/seafood/marine company and their jewellery are so beautiful..... and very pricely too. Don't walk into their showroom if you are not prepared to spend at least 4 figures. And they call their shops SHOWROOMS!!!!! Not shops!!!! Man... I want a pearl too.

But still I am so excited because I have ALWAYS wanted to go up to Broome but it's too expensive to fly there. (Air-fare alone AUD$600=SGD$720!!!!)

Everything will be paid for there: air-fare, transport, accomodation, and food. So I'll be holidaying mid-semester for free! Well of course I would have to do filming up there but we will get free time too so I can be a clueless tourist and sun-bake on the beach with a good book and an ice-cold somehting. :)

And I will also go to Cockatoo Island where the pearl farm is and will be living on a boat for 4 days with the people at the pearl farm. How cool! On a boat! Not ship or cruise but a boat! I'll be gone for 4 days in the middle of the ocean without mobile coverage, without TV, without Internet. That's how remote the pearl farm is. But it will be fun!

And guess how are we gonna get to the pearl farm? By SEAPLANE!!! Man!!! I have never been on a seaplane before so it will be ultra fun! Landing on the water! COOL!

You are jealous aren't you? Muahahahahaha.....

Cry...

Example

I cried a little pond on Sunday when Alan Tang had to fly home. I don't know why I was so emotional. Must be the time of the month.

To compensate for the little pond you created, I would very much appreciate a little gift. Hmpf.
